Hartley
My father, Frank Walter Hartley, was born in 1895 and was the last of seven children born to William and Emily Hartley. They lived in the Roundhay Road area of Leeds. William left the family when my father was a baby and nothing was heard of him again. Emily Hartley had a stall in Leeds market and one of her sons, John (Jack) had a music shop at 79 Vicar Lane, Leeds and another at 14 Wells Road, Ilkley. Has anyone got any information about William Hartley, my grandfather, or the family?

Harvey
I am looking for help in researching the Harvey family from Wingate, Durham. My grandparents were James and Rebecca (Mcnay/Mackay). James was born somewhere in Yorkshire in 1872, Rebecca in Spennymoor in 1873, and on their wedding certificate (1893) he states his father as George Harvey, occupation Blacksmith. I haven't been able to track them down anywhere in the 1881 census, and in 1891 James is a coal miner in Barnsley. I have no idea of the mother's name. I have some suspicions that George may have come from Staffordshire, Worcestershire area. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hodgson
I am trying to trace my family tree. My grandfather George Frederick came to Australia with his father William Hodgson who owned a bus company in Yorkshire. William Hodgson married Jane Hodgson, I don't know her maiden name, they had George Frederick. I think William Hodgson's first wife Jane died and he remarried Elizabeth Parry. Elizabeth had her own child, Agnes Parry. William and George Frederick came out to Australia and George Frederick fought in the first world war in 1916 for Australia. George Frederick Hodgson married Claire Elizabeth Lunn. William went back to I think Leeds, England, where the bus company was.
I hope someone can help me with my family tree. If anyone can help me please email me.

I am looking for relatives of Richard Hurd born 1885. I have seen him on 1901 census, and he is classed as living with Father in law William Hurd and brother in laws but they all have name of Hurd. Richard married Emma Elizabeth Edwards in June 1909. I have tried to search census and follow William back but cannot find him on the census, except for having a wife Jane and being widowed for 1901.

Thomas Dixon Hutchinson
is my gggdad born 1841 Otterington, became a tailor trading from Byers Green
Co Durham. I'm trying to trace his parents... anecdotal family story has it
that his father was at Otterington House while his mother was a worker there.
The fathers family would not countenance their marriage and eventually sent
their son to America. Does this ring any bells for anyone? If not is there
anyone who can confirm the owners of Otterington House round this time?
